Friday Lens Affair #43

South Tyrol

This Friday I have a pleasure to host photograph from South Tyrol taken by Eva Gold from Passports & Pamplemousse Blog. Eva and I have very much in common. We both love food and we both love travel as crazy! Eva like to say: ‘not just any food, and not just any ole’ travel’. And I couldn’t agree more with that! :) If you love those two things or even just one check out Eva’s Facebook and Twitter for more lovely pictures and stories!

I’m becoming such a snob foodie recently! Lol I have always loved good food, but who doesn’t!? We all do love good food and when it is served with a beautiful glass of red wine I’m the happiest Girl ever! But i’m already on the stage of actually organizing a trip just to visit my favourite restaurants yet again! I love Turin, Paris, Oslo, Zurich and many many others. Believe me Turin is a little gem which I should keep hidden for myself! :)

Anyway, back to the subject! The picture!

Picture story: South Tyrol Mountains

Well we recently moved to Munich so for my birthday, my fiance (very soon to be husband) took me to South Tyrol for the weekend! a very spontaneous and lovely weekend road trip. We love to discover new areas in Europe and this is not so far from our home in Munich now!

We were just enjoying the windy mountain roads when we quite literally stumbled across this lake. Ok, well the tour buses gave away the fact that something was there, but you can also see the lake from the road.

The colors are absolutely breathtaking and it’s definitely worth a trip! I couldn’t have spent a better birthday weekend either!

That is indeed a stunning photo. You must be glad you stopped to look. The water is so blue but clear. I like how you can see the rocks beneath the water but still see the reflections of the trees. The mountains and sky rising up behind it really add a lot of dimension to the picture.

    • It is truly great picture, I wish to do the same road trip as Eva! :)

    • Thanks everyone, for commenting on my photo! It truly is a beautiful place and belongs on a “Top places to see in Europe” list :)

Stunning shot! It reminds me of some of the small lakes you can find out in the Rockies of Colorado. Can’t wait to visit Europe, period. Germany is HIGH on my list! :-)
