This week I’m hosting Boris Le Montagner from Know Man’s Land Blog and his great photography from Persian Gulf in Iran. This week is very dear to my heart. For many reasons:
Because it is from Iran. My best travel of 2013 and most probably of my life so far! :) I had an amazing time in this country.
Because I know Boris personally. Do not mixed it with me liking him. Come on, he is French! LOL
Because I know his photographs are spectacular! He was always stealing my shots! ha ha ha
Because I can’t wait for his photography blog come to life soon.
Because….
Check out his Flickr account to understand what I’m talking about :)
Picture Story: Persian Gulf, Iran
I clicked this picture the last day of my 2 months trip in Iran. Early December 2013. I was coming right back from a one week trip on Qeshm and Hengam Islands in the Persian Gulf. I enjoyed to watch the ladies traditional and colorful outfits coming with this weird/intriguing/amazing/colorful mask to cover their faces.
For this last day in Iran, I decided to visit the bazaar (I love them all around the world, but they have a very special taste in Iran) to click some shots of these ladies. Unfortunately they are generally shy and don’t fill very comfortable in front of the box. Especially when a man is behind it.
Instead I found this beautiful old man begging, and luckily this curious young prayer by way of background!
I also have to say that if I chose a click from Iran. It is to thank all the amazing and kind people I met there. Iran is (often) depicted as a dangerous country. The government might be, but when it comes to safety and people, it’s another story, isn’t it Marysia?”
Panie Borisku you know what I said every single day! ‘Those Iranian people are too nice!’ :)
Thank you guys for all your great comments, I’m happy to know you like my work.
Even though travelling India keeps me superbusy at the moment, I promise to work on my new photo blog soon. I’m sure Marysia will let you know in time.
Cheers,
Boris

Great photo, especially from a country not many of us get the chance to see.
